Behavior Technicians are responsible for the majority of the service delivery in our field.  The position requires autonomy while also requiring an ability to receive and implement the feedback given, as well as generalize the skills they are being taught to other clients.  While we all know that ongoing supervision and training is necessary, it's not always easy to squeeze into our day.  This presentation will explore how to utilize the evidence based practice of Applied Behavioral Analysis to promote skill development in Behavior Technicians, how to motivate them to become more effective BTs, and how to monitor their performance.

Course Objectives:

1. Identify the 4 steps of Behavior Skills Training

2. Identify the skills required for a BT position in your agency

3. Identify areas your BTs need to build their skills

4. Identify ways to increase motivation for your BT staff

5. Demonstrate effective feedback and coaching.
