Event Information:
This 6-hour workshop is designed to familiarize attendees with the value of utilizing the Dual Diagnosis Capability in Addiction (DDCAT) and Mental Health (DDCMHT) Treatment indexes. The tools are designed to guide programs, agencies and systems in assessing and developing the dual diagnosis capability of substance use and mental health treatment services. Individuals who work in any of these settings are likely to have a role in improving capability.
Learning Objectives:
- Provide an overview of the seven dimensions and 35 items of the Dual Diagnosis Capability in Addiction Treatment (DDCAT) and the Dual Diagnosis Capability in Mental Health Treatment (DDCMHT) Indexes.
- Learn the main components of the DDCAT and DDCMHT review and seven recommendations for change.
- Explore three organizational change and quality improvement efforts that may result from a DDCAT and DDCMHT review.
