LOCATION: This training will be available through video-conference at five (5) locations. To attend at Northeast Guidance Center's Wellness Academy, 2900 Conner Ave., Bldg. A, Detroit, MI 48215, click on the register button at the bottom of this page. The other four (4) sites are: The Dearborn Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, The Children's Center; Lincoln Behavioral Services; The Guidance Center, Center For Excellence. To register and attend this training at one of the alternate four sites listed above, return to the VCE calendar and see additional locations listed.
SUGGESTED PARTICIPANTS: Professionals who work in Community Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Abuse systems with children, adolescents and their families in Wayne County, including advocates, case managers, child mental health professionals (psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers and supports coordinators), direct care workers, family advocates, family members, licensed professional counselors, nurses, occupational therapists, parents and peer support specialists.
Professional staff within our Community Partners who interact with children, adolescents and their families, who are part of the Community Mental Health System, including Department of Human Services; Hospitals; Law Enforcement; School Personnel, including Detroit Public Schools; and other Social Service Organizations.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES: Participants will be able to:
1. Identify the classifications of attachment patterns.

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDITS:
-SOCIAL WORKERS: 3.0 continuing education credits have been approved.
-NURSES: 3.0 continuing nursing education (CNE) credits have been approved.
-MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS: "The Wayne State University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The Wayne State University School of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 2.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) TM. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity."

Registration is currently closed for this training. Walk-ins (those who have NOT pre-registered) are accepted, however, you will not be guaranteed a seat. Anyone who is a walk-in will be asked to wait to for their training materials and in some instances to take a seat until the training begins. Participants that pre-regsitered have priority for seating and training materials. Registration for the 5-20-10 Children's Mental Health Grand Rounds is now open online.
