NEW HIRE: Recipient Rights Training
with Magnolia Scott, DWMHA Office of Recipient Rights,
Pre-registration online is required for this training. The last day to register is August 20, 2014.
Date: Friday, August 22, 2014
Time: 9:00 AM - 1:30 PM (Participants MUST arrive before 9:00 AM to sign in)
Locations: The Guidance Center, 13111 Allen Road, Southgate, MI 48195 (Live Site), Community Living Services, 35425 W. Michigan Avenue, Wayne, MI 48184
Suggested Participants: This is the mandatory Recipient Rights training for new hires in the Wayne County Community Mental Health System. Your employer can confirm if you are required to attend this training. DO NOT register if you work outside of Wayne County.
Continuing Education Credits: There are no Conitnuing Education Credits offered for this trainng.
Check-In and Arrival Info: Participants MUST arrive at the training before 9:00 AM in order to sign in and be admitted to the training. Participants who arrive after 9:00 AM will not be admitted to the training and will have to re-register for a future session. Participants will be tested on the knowledge they gain regarding Recipient Rights and will only receive a certificate if they successfully demonstrate mastery of the material.
Important Information:
- Participants MUST register online (www.vceonline.org) in advance in order to attend this training.
- Participants MUST verify that their employers have registered them in the MH-WIN system prior to registering for this training. YOU CANNOT SKIP THIS! You will be asked for your MH-WIN ID # on the day of the training. You will not pass Recipient Rights until this has been done.
If you have not been registered in the MH-WIN system by your employer, or if you are unsure, please call the Office of Recipient Rights at 313-833-2752.
- Your driver's license or state ID.
- Your registration confirmation for this training (you will receive this via email).
- Your MH-WIN ID # (SEE IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOVE)
- Your office phone and fax numbers.
- Dates of hire and dates of birth.
- A pen for testing
ADA Accommodations: If you have individual requirements or need special services to participate in this training, please notify Hannah at hwong@vceonline.org. Please make arrangements at least two weeks before the training date.
Walk-In Policy: Walk-ins are NOT permitted and will be asked to leave and register for a future training. NO EXCEPTIONS. Please be sure that you pre-register if you are interested in attending.
