Training Description

This continuing education program provides an overview on the basics of safe, effective pain management. Psychopharmacological treatments are changing the practice landscape for all health and mental health professionals.

Awareness and access to pharmacological information for patients and consumers is essential. Learn about the latest
references relevant to the medication issues and concerns mental health practitioners will encounter. Evidence-based, basic principles of effective pain management are also provided.
 

Suggested Participants: For all Licensed Social Workers, Ethics and Pain Management is required once every 3 years for license renewal. This training offers 1.0 hour in Pain Management training.


Registration, Payment and Cancelation Policy

Registration: Pre-registration is required to ensure attendance. Participants are welcome to attend the training as a walk-in (someone that did not pre-register), however, walk-ins will NOT be guaranteed seats or materials. Walk-ins will be asked to wait until the training begins in order to receive training materials and be seated to assure that there is enough room. IMPORTANT: Registered attendees must arrive no later than 10 minutes after the training begins. After this point, seats will be given to the walk-in attendees on first come first serve basis

Payments: Payments can be submitted by credit card and e-check during online registration. Payments must be received prior to being admitted into the training on Monday, April 19, 2021.

Continuing Education Information

Continuing Education Credits are approved for this training. Participants must arrive on time and stay through the training to receive full Continuing Education Credits. Late arrival or early departures will result in the deduction of awarded credit and proof of attendance. 1.0 Continuing Education Credit is approved for this training (1.0 Pain Management Credits). 

SOCIAL WORKERS: 1.0 continuing education credit is approved for this training. 

QMHP: 1.0 QMHP hour is approved for this training. This course can be used toward the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) training requirement for Qualified Mental Health Professionals. 

TRAINING HOURS: 1.0 Training hour is approved for this training. This training will count toward the annual training hours required by most provider agencies

If you work OUTSIDE of Wayne County there is a nominal $35.00 registration fee to attend this training. Please pay prior to your arrival by entering your credit card information when the registration process asks for it. You may also bring a company check or money order for the full amount with you to the registration table at the event as well. All checks/money orders can be made out to ‘DWIHN’. Receipts will be available upon request.


Substitutions are permitted at any time. No Shows will be billed at the same rate. Cancellations must be received in writing no later than 7 business days prior to the training to asmith1@dwihn.org in order to obtain a full refund. If cancellation is received less than 7 days prior to the training, no refund will be issued.
