  • To receive credit for the training to support continuing education requirements, participants must join with a video connection with the camera enabled. Telephone only connection is not an acceptable form of participation.

- Virtual trainings are to be treated with the same attention and vigor as in-person trainings.

- Attendees must join the training on their own device, the participant must remain visible on camera throughout the entire training, and be situated in a way that is sufficient for active engagement and learning. Training Description

Ethical practice is a required competency for all licensed social workers. The overall purpose of this course is to encourage and help participants develop a better understanding of and management of the ethical issues and dilemmas they encounter in practice. 

  • Describe the ethical principles related to pain management

  • Discuss the practical applications of pain management related to ethical dilemmas

  • Discuss factors related to the CDC guidelines ​Identify components of multi-modal pain management therapies

Suggested Participants:

For all Licensed Social Workers, Ethics and Pain Management is required once every 3 years for license renewal. This training offers 2 of the needed 2.0 hours in Pain Management training and 2.0 hours in Ethics training, for a total of 4.0 CE hours.

Registration: Pre-registration is required to ensure attendance.  IMPORTANT: Registered attendees must arrive no later than 5 minutes after the training begins and may not leave sooner than 5 minutes prior to end. In doing so, all Continuing Education Units will be forfeited.

Registration Fees

If you work WITHIN Wayne Countythere is a nominal registration fee of $40.00 to attend this training.

If you work OUTSIDE of Wayne County there is a nominal $50.00 registration fee to attend this training. Please pay prior to your arrival by entering your credit card information when the registration process asks for it. You may also bring a company check or money order for the full amount with you to the registration table at the event as well. All money orders can be made out to ‘DWIHN’. Receipts will be available upon request.



Cancellation Refund Policy

Substitutions are permitted at any time. No Shows will be billed at the same rate. Cancellations must be received in writing no later than 7 business days prior to the training to asmith1@dwihn.org in order to obtain a full refund. If cancellation is received less than 7 days prior to the training, no refund will be issued.
