Training Description

Ethical practice is a required competency for all licensed social workers. The overall purpose of this course is to encourage and help participants develop a better understanding of and manage the ethical issues and dilemmas they encounter in practice. 

  • Describe the ethical principles related to pain management
  • Discuss the practical applications of pain management related to ethical dilemmas
  • Discuss factors related to the CDC guidelines ​
  • Identify components of multi-modal pain management therapies

 

Suggested Participants: For all Licensed Social Workers, Ethics and Pain Management is required once every 3 years for license renewal. This training offers 2 of the needed 2.0 hours in Pain Management training and 2.0 hours in Ethics training, for a total of 4.0 CE hours.

Registration / Walk-In Policy

Registration: Pre-registration is required to ensure attendance.  IMPORTANT: Registered attendees must arrive no later than 5 minutes after the training begins and may not leave sooner than 5 minutes prior to end. You will forfeit your CEUs in doing so.

Payments: Payments can be submitted by credit card and e-check during online registration. Payments must be received prior to being admitted into the training on April 4th, 2024.

Photo Consent

By joining us at this event, attendees consent to Detroit Wayne Integrated Health Network's Detroit Wayne Connect photographing, videotaping and using your image and likeness.


Continuing Education

Continuing Education Credits are approved for this training. Participants must arrive on time and stay through the training to receive full Continuing Education Credits. Late arrival or early departures will result in the deduction of awarded credit and proof of attendance. 2.0 Continuing Education Credits are approved for this training (2.0 Pain Management Credits and 2.0 Ethics Credits). 

SOCIAL WORKERS: 4.0 continuing education credits are approved for this training.

MCBAP: 4.0 MCBAP hours are approved for this training. This course can be used toward the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) training requirement for MICHIGAN CERITIFICATION BOARD FOR ADDICTION PROFESSIONALS  

CMHP/QIDP/QMHP: 4.0 hours are approved for this training. This course can be used toward the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) training requirement for these Professionals.

TRAINING HOURS: 4.0 Training hours are approved for this training. This training will count toward the annual training hours required by most provider agencies

Registration Fees

If you work WITHIN Wayne County please dismiss the payment portion of the registration process and hit "submit".

If you work OUTSIDE of Wayne County there is a nominal $15.00 registration fee to attend this training. Please pay prior to your arrival by entering your credit card information when the registration process asks for it. You may also bring a company check or money order for the full amount with you to the registration table at the event as well. All checks/money orders can be made out to ‘DWIHN’. Receipts will be available upon request.


Cancellation Refund Policy

Substitutions are permitted at any time. No Shows will be billed at the same rate. Cancellations must be received in writing no later than 7 business days prior to the training to asmith1@dwihn.org in order to obtain a full refund. If cancellation is received less than 7 days prior to the training, no refund will be issued.
