Continuing Education Credits: 3 Continuing Education Credits are offered for this event. Participants must arrive on time and remain in the training for the its entirety to recieve credits. No partial credits will be offered. You must have your license number when you check in.

Course Objectives

1.) Attendees will be able to define "ethics" and describe the importance of the ethical code.
2.) Attendees will be able to identify standards from the Professional and Ethical Code of Compliance and DMWHA relevant to                behavior technicians.
3.) Attendees will consider the issues of the population we serve, parent views, client rights and dignity, as well as family                         engagement and how this issues are related to ethics.
 
Agenda:
1.5 hours Lecture:
-What is ethics?
-Who are serving? 
-Parent views
-Client dignity & respect
 
15 minutes Break
 
45 minutes Lecture:
Family engagement Why it matters
 
30 minutes Activity: 
Break into small groups to review vignettes, Group discussion
