TITLE: Ethics for Home Visitors Serving Families of Infants & Very Young Children

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Participants will be able to identify at least three ways in which home visiting differs from other service delivery methods.
  • Participants will become better able to review his/her own professional preparation and then identify at least one area in which he/she would benefit from additional/supplemental in-service training and/or supervision.
  • Participants will become more familiar with the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the Michigan Association for Infant Mental Health (MI-AIMH) Codes of Ethics, particularly in how they relate to home visiting.
  • Participants will be able to successfully apply both Codes of Ethics to at least three kinds of ethical dilemmas.

Participants will be able to identify at least one strategy for how to integrate the Codes of Ethics into competent, home-visiting best practice.

Who Should Attend: Wayne County Community Mental Health Professionals including Home-Based Professionals, Wraparound Facilitators, and Home Visitors, serving children who are Wayne County residents and their families.

FEE: $25 Per Participant

CREDIT: 5.0 continuing education credits for Ethics for social workers are currently pending. This training is designed to meet the State of Michigan requirements for Licensed Social Workers in Ethics.

Beverage service will be available, but lunch will not be provided

If cancellation is received less than 10 business days prior to training then no refund will be given.
