Training Description
A LOCUS (Level of Care Utilization System) assessment is a level of care tool to help determine the resource intensity needs of individuals who receive adult mental health services.

Learning Objectives
- To provide a system for assessment of service needs for adult clients, based on six evaluation parameters.
- Is to describe a continuum of service arrays which vary according to the amount and scope of resources available at each "level" of care in each of four categories of service.
- Is to create a methodology for quantifying the assessment of service needs to permit reliable determinations for placement in the service continuum.
Suggested Participants: Adult Behavioral Health Clinicians, Case Managers, and Administrative Staff
